Dennis Ralston talks very candidly about his tennis Playing and Coaching career and also about his life after coaching. This very interesting interview gives great description of how he came up as a player in California in the 1950's and 60s and what were the necessary steps and opportunities propeled him to greatness. Dennis also talks about his disappointment with the direction of college tennis and the politics of tennis in the USA. He talks about some of the highs and lows of his own play and speaks briefly about his illustrious Davis Cup Coaching career when the US beat the then great Romanian team. He describes the steps of improvement that players need to make during their climb. This show is one of the first of many to start talking about the issue of foreign recruitment of athletes before the recruitment of Americans to be on our collegiate teams.
